This is an ideal piece of software to allow you to record information linked to images, this can be spoken or just data, then months or years later the information can be read or viewed by you or others to save it from vanishing if the original person is dead or suffering from serious memory loss.

I am sure most older people have things they wished they asked their grand parents or parents but never did or even things that they did ask and now cannot recall themselves.
First the bad news you need patience to install. The 465MB download happens. You click the link, then fill in your email etc. and and a small note telling you how to do a feature and then nothing, the note warns you not to touch anything then after a long wait the chance to change the default install setting for the files and only then does the install start. If things are happening during the time when nothing appears to happen you need something to tell you that your system has not locked up.
Bad news now out of the way, the program has a number of tutorials and they are easy to follow and so old photos can now be improved and made clearer and then what they show can be documented or spoken about - an opportunity to add audio - to save for the future.
There is a free trial available and indeed that is what I used.
While you could just start the trial I suggest you run through the tutorials first as it seems using your own scanner or printer/scanner/copier is new to them as before it needed to be a separate piece of equipment, so now should you decide to buy after your free trial it becomes a cheaper package.
Vivid-Pix Memory Station has three parts, Restore where you work on improving old photos to make them clearer and more in focus. Record where you impart memories and then Stories where things that would otherwise disappear for ever are told or recorded.
The free trial is on the link below and allows five separate tales to be transcribed and are not limited to a single item.

If you have more tales to record you could then go on to buy the full home package for $199.99.
