Continuing its drive to present us with the delights, views and information regarding locations far and wide, AVI Games has released Around the World 2 - Travel to Canada.  Available in Collector's Edition format, this game combines elements of Hidden Object style action with mini game puzzle solving as you discover more about the fascinating sights that made up this country.

The main element of the title is built around 18 different levels with appropriate titles.  These locations need to be visited in order.  Among the levels are those entitled Family Leisure, The Country of Contrasts, Winter Holidays, Amazing Weekend, Outdoor Recreation and A Trip to Friends.  Each level will be made up of two separate Hidden Object type challenges and a mini game puzzle that needs to be solved.

In some cases one of the Hidden Object challenges will involve two stages as you will be required to find certain items stored within an appropriate scene.  As well as a variety of items, each scene will also contain a friendly raccoon and two sparkling areas that can give access to zoomed areas that could contain required items.  Accompanying the scene will be a panel displaying the items to be found and two tools to assist your search.  The two tools are a zoom facility and a Hint feature.

One of the Hidden Object challenges will ask you to search for special specific items that could be represented by images or sketches.  You will also be asked to find objects listed in text format.  Some of the text listed items will be presented in different colours to indicate if the item might be hidden in some way or will form part of a task needing to be tackled.

The other Hidden Object challenge is made up of two stages.  One of the stages will involve finding a set number of a type of items.  The second stage will display its required items identified as text, pattern, silhouettes or a rebus combination of two line drawings.  Each completed level of Hidden Object action will brings a reward of points which are converted to cash to purchase souvenirs from your travels.

Giving you a break from the Hidden Object action, each level will feature a mini game puzzle.  You could be asked to rotate or exchange items to recreate a picture, move columns and rows around or produce a symmetrical picture.  Another type of task involves tackling a maze by moving items around blockages.  A Hint feature is available with puzzle solving.

Once all the main 18 levels have been completed then you will be granted access to the product's Collector's Edition content.  A further 10 levels can be visited.  There are also 32 additional puzzles to test your ability, the chance to view purchased souvenirs and a tool to play back the game's music content.
