"Offering to take you on a visual trip to Seattle, Lazy Turtle Games has released the next title in its Amazing Vacation series. While retaining its usual features for adjusting the game's basic environment, Lazy Turtle Games has made various alterations to the way the title presents its content. You can adjust volume levels and resolution plus opt for no time limit or either a 10 or 3 minute limit restriction before tackling the new arrangement of the product's content.
As the game's title might indicate, the content is based on different aspect of the city of Seattle. Rather than present you with a winding chain of picturesque locations along which you need to journey, the Seattle offering splits its locations into groups made up of four scenes, Each of the four scenes come with the option of being tackled in four different modes requiring you to attempt to find a range of miscellaneous items scattered around the scene. Among the group that gradually become available for your inspection are those entitled Marymoor Park, Museum of Glass, Woodland Park Zoo, Olympic Sculpture Park and Mount Rainier.
The different modes made use by the different scenes relate to the manner in which the necessary items will be listed. You can opt to work with a list that is presented in standard text format, as silhouettes, in jumbled word format with the item's initial letter being indicated by being shown as a capital letter or in mirror format with the words being reversed. A recharging Hint feature can be used to pinpoint an as yet undiscovered item. The completion of each of the different modes will bring the reward of a Star which can be used to assist your progress.
You have freedom of choice in selecting which order you tackle the four scenes in a group. The same freedom is also available when deciding the order in which you tackle the different modes. However this freedom does not apply when attempting to move on to the next group. You will only be allowed to progress to the next group when you have built up a supply of seven Stars although you can step back to a previously visited group.
While the Stars awarded for completing a presented list, they seem to have but a single purpose, in allowing you to progress to the next group. They seem to provide no other purpose. As a result the game lacks any appropriate ending and just peters out with no acknowledgement. You can download this title from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $9.99. This game is also available from Big Fish Games priced at £7.95. The game requires a 1.0 GHz processor with 512MB of RAM and 207MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
