With the recent temperature conditions being endured recently in the UK, maybe your body is becoming acclimatised for this next offering.

Following excursion to Australia/New Zealand, France, Ireland and Japan to tackle Jigsaw and Swap puzzles, Tiny Little Lion turns its focus of attention to the Nordics.  As with earlier titles in this puzzle solving series, you can explore over 120 images of scenes that include features of Iceland and the Norwegian fjords to challenge the player.

Access to the game's content is delivered by numerous menu options as you make the necessary selections.  Using a tabbed interface, the supplied images in this title have been split into six different categories which can be selected from a photo album style appearance.  These categories cover Scenery (39), Temples (15), Castles (16), Food (13), Animals (16) and City (15).  There is a also a further category, entitled Custom, which can be used to hold your own personal images for use as the puzzles source material.

Whether opting for a Jigsaw or Swap puzzle, you can select any of the product's images for your puzzle.  When opting for a Jigsaw, you will have a choice of 27 different types used for the connection type pieces that make up the puzzle.  Among the choice available you could select Animals, Concentric Hearts, Fans, Knobbed Arrows, Rectangles, Split Circle and the Traditional shaped piece.  Depending upon your choice, you will be offered a further choice of the number of pieces in the puzzle, whether rotation will be involve and the amount of hints that will be available.

If you prefer a Swap puzzle then you can opt to work with Bands, Concentric Rectangles, Circles and Stars, Octagons and Crosses, Down Stacked Crosses plus Rectangles that are portrayed in Landscape or Portrait orientation.  Again you will be given a choice of the number of pieces, rotation and the amount of hints available.

Your chosen puzzle will be transferred to a work area and positioned centre screen for you to begin working on reforming the image.  Running down the right side of the work area will be a collection of tools to assist your puzzle solving.  These tools will include Settings, Preview, Recenter, Shuffle, Hint and Zoom.  Manipulation of the puzzle pieces will be carried out by the mouse pointer.  Once completed, you will be rewarded with a brief snippet of information regarding the image such as "The Nyberg Castle was built in the 12th century and is one of the oldest castles in Denmark".  The image can then be used as wallpaper.

With the number of supplied images, used by both forms of puzzles and range of adjustable settings, this game offers plenty of content for puzzle solving activity.  You can download this title from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $9.99.  It is also available from Big Fish Games priced at £7.95.  The game requires a 2.0 GHz processor with 4096MB of RAM and 645MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
