click image to enlargeThis offering is something rather different the outside looks great being a mid brown colour and what is inside is definitely not for children as its a alcoholic mixture of the finest Cocoa mixed with vanilla and cream.
It is stated to be 'Delicious served straight over ice, in a cocktail or even to add a boozy kick to your Easter chocolate cake!'
It comes in a glass container that looks like a chocolate egg 5cm down from the top is a twist lid and once removed you can enjoy the contents from the remaining 13.5cm of the container.
The total contents are 700ml and this 15% alcohol by volume. The opening at the top of the base is 2.5cm across so its possible to use a straw to drink from the Easter Egg.
When I tried the contents both with and without 'over ice' as they are the consistency of single cream their will always be some waste in the glass unless you use a finger to get the last drops.
But using a straw - assuming you are the only user – means the only waste would be in the straw.
So my advice straight from the fridge and use a straw, the chocolate sits on the tongue and the alcohol immediately rises to the roof of your mouth. Long after the chocolate taste has gone the alcohol lingers.
It is called 'Egg Royale' and is devolved by Gravity Drink, available from February from Amazon £19.99 or in person from Harvey Nichols.
