Sweet Home - Look and Find is a Hidden Object game developed by AVI Games. I have been looking at the Collector's Edition version of the product. This offering comes with a variety of bonus items to add extra appeal to the gaming experience as numerous tasks are completed.
The game mixes together a series of mini game puzzles situated in different locations that feature Hidden Object action based on the content found within the scene. When playing this game, you will need to work through these various tasks which are laid out in a book style of six-to-a-page format. As each task is completed, the next one will be unlocked and ready for you to accept its challenge.
Apart from the initial location, which perform the role of a type of tutorial to ease your way into the game's rules, the other locations generally consist of two stages. In this way the Hidden Object aspect of game play can switch between different methods of presenting the required items which you need to find to complete the task.
Each scene based on a particular location will feature one or two areas into which you can zoom. These areas will be identified with an outbreak of sparkles. Included among the content of a location will be at least one family pet which will be either a dog or cat. This pet will need to be found as part of your search items in order to gain the maximum number of points awarded for that scene.
Along with the all-important family pet, each scene will be filled with all manner of items whether required or not. You will need to find those are listed. You could be required to find a selection of one type of item or a designated variety of items that have been scattered around and maybe even partially obstructed in some way.
The required items list could be presented in text format, shown as silhouettes or presented as images. In the case of text format, any entry listed in blue, rather than the default black, will somehow involve a task that will need to be completed. A few location scenes might contain a special item, which will be displayed in a box separated from the main list. This special item will need to be collected to improve tour score.
Providing a break from the steady diet of Hidden Object style locations will be the regular appearance of a mini game puzzle. Varied in style and complexity, these puzzles could involve Spot the Difference challenges, arrange hexagons to match coloured segments, connect coloured pieces of rope plus sort through and then produce images or different cats and dogs. No Hint feature will be available with these puzzles but you do get a Skip option.
Completed puzzles will bring a reward of 350 points to add to those points gained from the different Hidden Object scenes. You can use these points to purchase items to furnish and decorate a My Room feature that is accessible from any Hidden Object location.
As mentioned previously, this title is available in Collector's Edition format. Adding to the main mixture of Hidden Object game play and mini game puzzle solving, this product features 8 bonus levels plus 8 bonus puzzles, extra games, wallpaper, a music playing app and the My Room feature. You can download the game from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $19.99 or Big Fish Games priced at £15.95. The game required a 1.00 GHz processor with 1024MB of RAM and 478|MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
