As we get older one thing that normally happens is that your hearing will deteriorate. Possibly turning the TV volume up will help but that has other side effects like not always hearing your doorbell, here is one solution from RISWOND.

In the box a 6x3cm clock type battery bell push, the 11x5.5x2.5cm bell, a fold out 10x6.5cm 14 side instruction sheet and a small container with two double sided sticky tape fixings the same size as the bell push back together with two screws and two fixings for screws.
The top part of the bell has a 13amp plug on its back so if you have skirting board plugs this could be a problem as there is 6.5cm below the plug but the instructions do suggest an outlet 3 feet 3 inches about the floor (about one metre). If you have skirting board plugs then use a gang socket.
Assuming you are using the double sided tape to fix the door bell then a couple of minutes should be all you need to set it up using the default settings which gives you a 'Ding Dong' bell at the maximum volume level which I could hear two rooms away from where I plugged the bell into.
If you prefer other rings then I see this has more than 50 different choices available.
The bell push is said to be waterproof but if fitting it to somewhere at risk of getting wet then I would use the screws and the instructions give you full fitting instructions.
It is said to function between -4 and +122 degrees Fahrenheit and it is IP55 certified.
If someone has limited or no hearing then the range of flashing lights on the bell could notify the user of a caller these flash at the same time as the 'Ding Dong'.
So if you are going 'naturally' deaf with age or if you have a more serious hearing problem then something like this could be the solution at not much money, as a Prime Member you get free next day delivery so all you pay is the bells cost which is currently £20.99.
