The ARCHOS VIDEO AV380 is the first handheld MP4 video player series on to the market place. This specific one has a staggering 80Gb storage capacity!
OK, time to come clean. I don't own one of these YET, but just wanted to pass on this find.
The AV3 series provide the facility of playing MP4 (video support), MP3 (music) as well as a load of 'standard' PDA facilities and bolt ons.
The bolt ons include:
- A camera lense to turn it in to a digital camera, web camera and camcorder.
- Remote control and FM Radio (which can then be recorded straight into MP3!)
- Compact Flash / SmartMedia Card Reader, so you can copy information be it data, photos, music, film etc and store it onto your unit.
Connection to your PC is easy, using USB 2.0 which is about as fast a transfer as you are going to get at the moment.
It is also compatible with Mac as well as with PC.
