Quite a bit smaller and lighter than the previous offering from HP published on 26/3/25 and the only light is on the front.
It is 29cm from front to back add another 5cm for cables to be inserted, 14cm wide and 31cm tall.
The right edge of the front has a line of items going down from the top turn on button, 3.5mm audio, 4 USB and USB 'C' this ends 17cm from the top.
The back has two USB side by side, then another two USB side by side this line also has an Ethernet port, these are placed just above the four expansion ports with only the second one taken by HDMI then three Display Ports. Finally 3cm above the base the mains lead entry point.
It has a 13th Generation i5 processor running at 2.5GHz. 16GB of internal memory and a 1TB SSD which gives you 881GB of 952GB free on first start up.
It has a 64bit version of Windows 11 Home and despite several tries to update to the 24H2 it still has only 23H2.
30 day trial of McAfee Anti Virus with Life Safe, and also Express VPN.
OMEN gaming hub is also installed.
The first boot up which includes some updates took 35 minutes. The next one was 12 seconds however there were over 20 other updates left to be done and these took extra time on the following day. This also included BIOS and Firmware updates.
I tried the HDMI connection with two different flat panels one 24inch used 1920x1080 and the other 27 inch defaulted to 2560x1440. The former is 4K and the latter 5K both were excellent for all the items I used it with.
Even after being on all-day the unit is still silent.
As with most recent PCs my way of checking speed is with the reset/prepare/install that I do before returning the unit and this took just 15 minutes.
