Bluejacking!

Close range phone mugging?

Well I read about 'bluejacking' onthe BBC website and thought it sounded a funny thing to do. I have a Nokia 6310i and have been searching for other bluetoothers in my office to no avail. On Monday i was in london and on the tube - easy pickings ! I set a contact called 'Gotcha!' with no number and searched for other devices - first time and 2 popped up. I did them both and casually looked around but could not see who i had got! undeterred i got on the train home at Paddington and tried again - successfully bluejacking a Sony Ericcson T610 who, it transpired, was sat opposite me! His face was a picture.

Quite good fun although i think a poker face is required as the recipient of the bluejack could be less than happy and your face could give you away! It's a shame that people don't label their devices as 'karate black belt' or 'conviction for ABH' that way bluejacking could be safe :-)
