This 6 Port USB ‘C’ Hub from D-Link measures 9.5x4.5x.8cm and it weighs only 66grams. There is a 15cm hard wired USB ‘C’ lead emerging from one end. The back has a full size HDMI port and a USB ‘C’ port. The front has two USB3 ports a SD card socket and a micro SD card socket to make the units six ports.
There is a small eight side 13x9cm Quick Start Guide that is totally made up of illustrations until you get to the HDMI port page that shows a couple of URL’s for a driver.
Even several recent notebooks have had a distinct lack of ports so a small hub like this offering from D-Link can often save a lot of messing about.
One of the two full sized USB ports is super speed. For those with 20:20 vision or for people like me who have not and use a magnifying glass it is marked and is the one nearest the SD card socket.
The HDMI port can support up to 4K resolution so far more than standard 1920x1080.
The USB ‘C’ output port is Thunderbolt 3 standard and can deliver power at 100w and for good measure has data sync.
The case is aluminium and gun metal grey in colour and the unit is stated to work with Windows, MAC and Linux.
Finally it comes with two years guarantee.
