This phone folds horizontally across the centre of the screen it means when open you are able to have 6.7 inches of depth in a single view. When your finger moves across the central area of the screen there is a little resistance and if you look closely at the darkened screen you can see the crease in the screen, however does this affect anything else?

The Flip 3 from Samsung measures 8.2x7.2x1.3cm when closed, weighs 186 grams, flip it open and the first figure becomes 16.4cm. The viewable screen is 6.4x15.6cm which gives the notional diagonal imperial measurement of 6.7 inches. The screen display is 1080x2340.
When closed the area away from the hinge that has its two cameras also has a 5x3 area that when first closed will show the hour on one line and the minutes on another just below also in smaller letters the date and current amount of battery to the right of the minutes. When you receive a phone call it gives the number calling and you have the ability to answer or reject it. It can also show details of any music you are playing. For those waiting to know when fully charged it shows you immediately it reaches 100%. For those photo chances that come suddenly you can frame an image and press the volume button to get immediate image.
Now for the rest of my description I am assuming the phone is open, the upper part of the right side has the volume rocker and below this the on/off button. The base has USB ‘C’ socket for charging with the speaker on one side and microphone on the other. The lower part of the left side is clear while towards the top of the upper part is the SIM entry point. The top is clear. The back has a very slightly raised area that goes down 2.5cm with the two cameras and just below these the LED flash.
Looking at the screen the centre of the top has the forward facing camera which I only really noticed with a white background its only .3cm round.
It takes 14 sec switch on and 2 sec switch off.
It can stand being submerged in up to 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes so the odd drop when in the bath is no problem.
It has a 3300mAh battery and comes with Android 11. There is 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal memory.
The processor is a Qualcomm SM8350 Quad Core 2.84GHz processor.
The rear cameras are both 12MP one is f/1.8 and the other is f/2.2. The front camera is 10MP f/2.4.
Videos can be captured at either 30 or 60 fps in 4K and the same at 1080p.
I was surprised how much I enjoyed testing this unit and changing from 3:4 or 9:16 to 9:22 produced amazing screen images.
