Outwardly this looks like many other such units from the other inkjet printer manufacturers. It is 24x22x17cm with paper waiting to be printed. Unlike most other printers of this type it has no possibility to be connected to a PC as it solely has connections for various card types and 'Pict Bridge' cameras. I suspect you may be able to connect a Bluetooth USB stick in the 'Pict Bridge' connector but as I currently do not have one I cannot confirm this. A device such as that would enable direct printing from Bluetooth phones or PDA's.
This unit has a single cartridge with all the inks in it. It looks rather like a lot of other ink cartridges but a little bloated. The rear of the unit has socket for the mains lead and as this does not protrude beyond the paper input stack it is a true 22cm depth.
The sides have no inputs or outlets so the two card slots and the 'Pict Bridge' input on the front are the only connectors.
The card types supported are both types of Compact Flash and Micro Drive also XD, MMC, SD, Smart Media as well as various Memory Stick. Do not try to insert two memory cards at the same time as then both will need to be removed before one can be reinserted.
As this unit has no connectivity to a PC being able to view and select images is vital, there is a 5.5x4cm LCD display that sits on top of the unit it can be opened up close to 90degrees thus making viewing possible in all lighting conditions.
Once a card has been inserted it is read and then you can either have a slide show of all images or should you prefer just scroll through and select the ones to be printed. Each image takes around 150seconds to print, output quality is good and images are touchable immediately.
I printed a range of images from several card types all were fine and all took within a second or so the same time to print.
There are a total of seven buttons and a four position disc to control and print. All well marked and selecting and printing images should be simple even for a novice.
The price on my Internet searches seem very constant at a tad under £80, however Amazon currently have it for £59.99 as a web purchase.
Now should you require only to print without a PC then this unit will give perfectly acceptable results if a little slow at 150 seconds an image. Selecting is straightforward and in use I have no complaints. At £80 I think you may find other units do more and have the added ability to print from PC. However at £59.99 from the Amazon website (it is stated to be in stock) it must be a good buy.
