So here I am looking at the Ring Alarm package plus the Glass Break Sensor which works with the Ring Alarm.

The Base Station is 17x17x3.5cm and can connect via Ethernet or USB and this brings together all the parts of the system.

Next is the Key Pad which can be wall mounted or sit near a main entrance door, it is 11x10.5x2cm, it can run on battery or from USB.

What else you get depends on the model you purchase, lower down the box I got sent are seven items. The first is Base Station Adapter which is a power lead and power adapter. Next are various countries power plugs. The next are the UK plugs. Range Extender is next this lengthens the distance that the Z-Wave can travel to reach extra devices. A Motion detector which you can mount anywhere using double sided tape to detect movement inside your home. A Contact Sensor is next this can be mounted on either a Window or Door to notify you if it is opened. Lastly is a box with the leads for the Key Pad.

There is a template to allow you to drill holes if you decide to wall mount the Key Pad. Finally a 40 page dual language A5 book that tells you about the parts mentioned above and most important how and where to fit them.

Other kits may include an external siren where the site of one may encourage the burglars to choose another property. What is provided are four stickers which can be located in Windows to deter.

Lastly the optional purchase of a Glass Break Sensor, this is round at 9.5cm and 2cm thick. It can be placed almost anywhere but while it can detect breaking glass it does require one of the Ring Alarm kits to notify you that breaking glass has been heard. According to the Ring Website breaking glass can be heard up to 76 metres away.

Anyone with basic DIY skills a drill and a screwdriver should be able to set up the units without difficulty. They can work with Alexa.
