My Business Cards
Buy Now...

I have used numerous Business Card packages over the years and right from the simple straightforward installation things looked good. After installation you fill in all the details that you think you may want on the card and thats it. At this point you may see greyed out lines on the mock up do not worry they are lines that will disappear when you accept the design.
There are thousands of designs including some very unusual ones. Each design is available in several palettes that you can change from a drop down menu. It is also very simple to add your own graphic or logo to a basic design.
The box says five minutes to learn the basics and I would agree in fact a simple card design could probably be created in printed in around the same time.
There are three basic styles that allow 8, 10 or 8 cards per page, these are all. It can also support card stocks from people such as Avery, Paper Direct and others.
The main difference between this and other packages is that there are really no bounds to what you can create, some other packages do not allow imports and if they do they have to be in a very limited range of formats here it supports EPS, PCX, WMF, TIFF, TGA, DIB, WPG, IMG, RLE and JPEG. If you have other formats I am sure they can be exported in one of the formats listed above.
The only documentation is an eight page booklet but to be honest I did not even look at it until well into using the product, and then only to see that there was one.
The interface is simple yet able to do most things you might want like text and graphic rotation, text gradient, shadowing and warp effects. It is also possible to attach a business card to an email, I have tried this and it looks far better than just printing the same details within the email.
Should you have more than one business or indeed should you want to print business cards for a number of people there is a built in address book that allows you to store multiple profiles.
Image Effects are worth a mention take a clipart image and adjust or modify it to suit the situation, again a simple easy to use interface to allow you to do the changes.
With a lot of packages you often know what you want to do but it either will not you do it or you need a lot of skill to do what you want, here everything is logical and as such a few minutes use can have you producing very acceptable output.
I am always one to want something not on offer how about being able to say print 12 cards per A4 page. The stated price is £29.95 and at the time of writing this included a copy of My Labels. It is available from dealers who sell Avanquest items and it may even cost somewhat less.
