This was from before the time when BY saw the light and decided broadband was neither a threat to their ISDN business, or somethat for which customers had no use. As such it's a cable-modem based solution from NTL.

i.Tech Xfm DAB radio

i.Tech was a new name to me and the one positive to come out of a day spent at a conference a couple of months ago. This unit is 37.5x11x13cm this allows space for two speakers and thus a perfectly acceptable stereo sound. It comes with a small 24 page manual that in places could have been a lot clearer, however once you have managed the initial scan - I am told this is automatic on a new unit - there is less you need to do.

If I say WordPerfect, anyone over the age of 30 will probably immediately say Word Processor, this package is that but it is also a great deal more all in a DVD case.

SkypeIn/Out v. other Voip offerings

Skype while being very popular attacts some poor press from those that suggest people should us 'standards based' VoIP products. One real users perspective!
I've recently vacated the 'third bedroom' office to take up the kind offer of a desk with a local company I know on very reasonable terms and to the delight of my 8 year old daughter who *finally* gets her own room!
