click image to enlargeThe Live Cam Sync V3 is small enough to fit easily in a bag, the box it comes in is only 11.5x7x10cm, the cameras actual dimensions are 8x3x3cm and it is attached to a small stand that increases the total height by only 2cm. The stand is designed to hang over the top of a screen it is 6cm long and the drop down balance arm is 4.5cm.
Installation on Windows is very quick – less than 30 seconds – and it is immediately recognised on Zoom and other such products.
However there is an App on the Creative site which has some smart communications software and includes something called Noise Clean Out to improve sound quality on poor quality calls.
The basic streaming resolution is 1080p but QHD in 2K is available via software. There is a zoom button on top of the unit.
The unit’s wide angle lens supports up to 95 degrees. Either side of the camera lens are omni-directional microphones.
Should you wish you can mount the camera on a tripod.
I used the Live Cam on a notebook as well as two different PC’s without any problems and all the calls and zoom meetings were completed without any problems.
With the 2K setting you widen the view to show up to four people, great for remote family get togethers.
However the standard one person view is sharp and crisp in normal lighting conditions without any extra support required.
Should you need to turn the camera that’s no problem as it can rotate through 360 degrees.
