click image to enlargeThe unit comes with the stand already attached, the screen is 54x32x.5cm, this is raised 9cm from your desk by the stand, the stand is 24x18cm in a ‘C’ shape only the left side arm connects to the screen. This means the open end of the ‘C’ shape lays flat on your desk and this is where the supplied lead connects the power and HDMI signal via a 60cm long lead that goes into one end of the 14.5x6x4cm block that is not only the power supply but also the HDMI connection. The other end of the block has a normal power lead and standard HDMI connector; both leads to the PC are supplied.
The power brick is silvered – instead of the standard black – with AOC on its face.
This is very sleek and is designed by Studio F.A. Porsche it certainly looks very smart on the desk, it may save a small amount of space but the clear desk nirvana is somewhat spoilt by the larger than normal power supply.
The only border is at the bottom which is a tad over 1cm. The sides and top are all but nothing the viewable screen is 53.5x21cm which gives the notional diagonal imperial screen measurement of 24inches.
The screen gives a sharp clear image at 1920x1080 and there is good amount of back tilt available.
Towards the right side of the base of the screen surround is a 3.5mm socket for headphones/earbuds, to the left of this a single button that controls all the on screen settings brightness, colour, low blue light etc.
As with all recent panels the Auto setting works fine for all normal environments.

As with most recent units this is both flicker free and has low blue light which means however long your viewing period is there should be little eye strain.
A few more technical figures, Brightness is 250 cd/m², Contrast is 1000:1, Dynamic Contrast is 50M:1, Viewing Angle is 178/178º, Response Time is 4ms, Panel Type IPS, Pixel Pitch .2745 and has a WLED backlight.
It comes with a Three Year Warranty.
I certainly liked this unit and used it for all my normal work – and leisure – tasks without any problems, the unit never strays out of the footprint formed by the ‘C’ stand and therefore there is more desk space.
At this point if any problems have yet to be found I have to try to find them and the only possible ones are the fact it has only an HDMI connection and the power supply and connector are a little bigger than a normal power brick and for logistical reasons it probably needs to sit on the desk but I found it sat between the stand and panel without problem, these however are very minor criticisms and AOC must have confidence in their unit to offer a three year warranty.
