The Bissell Stain Erasermeasures 40x11x16cm and weights 1845grams when empty.
Apart from the main cleaning unit there is a different brush head the mains lead to charge the internal solid battery and two 236mL bottles of cleaning liquid which are Spot and Stain and OXY which a small amount is mixed with the water you inset in the unit.
No flashy box or packaging just a plain brown cardboard container it seems at least one company has heeded the warnings on waste and recycling.
The 16 page A5 User Guide has plenty of illustrations and if you follow them almost all stains should be easily removed. I have had one stain that has annoyed me for a couple of years but two applications of the cleaning fluid and then following the instructions with the unit and it was no longer visible.
Don’t get me wrong I have other stains and these have also gone and now I spend time looking for stains rather than stains staring me out like the one mentioned above.
While filling the container with warn water and your choice of the two supplied bottles of cleaning fluid is clearly covered and indeed the important step of drawing the unit towards you when removing the water and whatever the stain was.
The part that also matters is cleaning the machine after use to remove the dirty water from the spent water tank and cleaning the brushes and other parts of the unit.
While it suggests pouring the water down the sink I tended to use the toilet for this task and indeed for any water used to rinse the containers.
While my carpets are brown the water being sucked back into the tank from stains was that colour also and not because my carpets had run, you are however warned that you should check that this could be a problem dependant on the material in the carpet. If in doubt try cleaning in an area that does not show.
So easy to follow instructions with an easy to assemble and disassemble and clean unit best of all it does what it says and removes stains.
It comes with a DC mains adapter which plugs into the top back of the unit; this is a tight fit so you probably have to push harder than you think to push the connector in.
Near the on/off button at the front of the top is a blue LED that shows how much cleaning time you have available. The unit will not work while being charged.
The only other control is the cleaning liquid spray trigger under the handle.
Certainly a lot cheaper than a whole room cleaner and a lot smaller so it can get into smaller places and also needs less storage space.
The Bissell Stain Eraser 20061 is available from Amazon for £99.
