Offering users a choice of models, OPPO has launched its Find X3 series of 5G premium smartphones. The initial release consists of the Find X3 Pro 5G, Find X3 Neo 5G and Find X3 Lite 5G. These three models are expected to be available, in the UK, from the 14th of April at the OPPO e-store and a range of carriers and retailers. With all three models offering 5G connectivity, lets take a look at some of the specifications of each handset model.
Depicted as the crown jewel of the new series, the Find X3 Pro will be available in either lacquered Black or Blue, With dimensions of 163.6 x 74.0 x 8.26 mm and weighing approximately 193g, the Find X3 Pro has a 6.7 AMOLED screen. Driving this handset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM as standard. Dual SIM support allows for the handset to be used for both personal and business communication while the internal 4500 mAh battery, with support for fast charging, means you should always be in contact with others.
The model's visual capture attraction with benefit from the presence of two primary 50MP cameras covering wide angle and ultra wide angle capture using a new-to-market Sony IMX 766 imaging sensor. This photographic arrangement will capture and display up to one billion colours in a single image. Incidentally, this possible case of over-kill, is ten times more than the human eye can detect so is it more of a marketing ploy than a must-have feature? Completing the rear camera set up are a 13MP telephoto camera and a 3MP micro lens. There is also a 32MP front mounted selfie camera.
Other features of the Find X3 Pro include support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and a range of sensors for colour temperature, accelerometer, geomagnetic, ambient light, proximity, gravity, gyroscope and pedometer. The Find X3 Pro is both dust and water proof. Pricing for this model starts at £1,099.
The second unit in this series of handsets is the Find X3 Neo which gives the use a choice of Starlight Black or Galactic Silver livery. Adopting a slightly smaller size with dimensions of 159.9 x 72.5 x 7.99 mm, the Find X3 Neo weighs approximately 184g. With this model OPPO has gone with a 6.55 inch OLED screen. The handset is built around a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM. This dual SIM smartphone has a 4500mAh battery.
The rear mounted four camera set up for the Find X3 Neo is made up of a 50MP wide angle camera, 16MP ultra wide angle camera, 13MP telephoto camera and a 2MP macro camera. Mounted on the front of the Find X3 Neo is a 32MP selfie camera. As with its bigger brother, this handset supports WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 plus a similar range of sensors although the ambient light sensor has not made the cut.
The Find X3 Neo will be available from the 14th April with pricing due to start at £699.
Completing the trio of handsets is the Find X3 Lite unit. This model gives users the choice of Astral Blue, Starry Black or Galactic Silver. Some slight adjustments has been made to the size and weight on this product. The handset has dimensions of 159.1 x 73.4 x 7.99 mm and weighs approximately 172g apart from the Galactic Silver models with a weight of 180g. Again the screen is of the OLED variety but is slightly smaller at 6.4 inches. Beating at the heart of this smartphone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7650 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. Providing the juice running this handset is a 4300mAh battery.
OPPO has come up with a different arrangement for the Find X3 Lite smartphone's rear-mounted quad camera. There is a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra wide angle camera, 2MP macro camera and 2MP mono camera. Following the pattern set by the other two models, the front mounted selfie is a 32MP camera.
This dual SIM handset supports Bluetooth 5.1 with sensors for geomagnetic, proximity, optical, accelerometer, gravity, gyroscope and pedometer features. Available from 14th April, the Find X3 Lite comes with a price point starting at £379.
