Originally only available for those taking out insurance from this company, it is now available for all. I looked at the early offering in February. Now it comes with packaging more fitment options and the chance to get far longer video clips.

Since my first review nine months ago the camera will now work with Alexa and you have the option via a subscription to get far longer video clips, the basic is twelve seconds and this increases with the extra subscription to sixty seconds, either way your videos are stored for 14 days.
The camera itself is a five centimetre cube but the height can increase by another three centimetres by the base lifting on itself in a three way movement to let you get it pointing in exactly the correct place.
Try to avoid pointing it at a glass door or window as this may produce false positives.
The face is the lens with infra red sensors around it, the back has entry point for a micro SD card – not supplied – as well as connection for the generous length micro USB to USB lead that is close to 180cm long.
The initial setup and linking is via an iOS or Android App which is now far more straightforward. The rear of the camera will show a flashing yellow LED which changes to solid blue when linked.
This then is the important point wherever you mount the camera has to be less than 180cm from a power point.
If you have Internet always on their no need for a micro SD card but if you are a belt and braces person you might like one for extra security.
The one drawback is of course if there is a power cut even if have a micro SD card.
Images during daylight or in a lighted area are full colour with infra red taking over in low or no light. You can capture video in full HD and it is possible to view in landscape full screen on your phone and it has digital zoom to allow you to zoom in.
It is possible to set via the App the camera to work only when you are away with push notifications arriving at your phone within seconds, you can ‘when armed’ send a notification to a mobile phone, either to yourself or possibly a neighbour or nearby family member.
This unit seemed to have a really sensitive microphone as during my tests when I had it ‘always on’ music playing quietly two rooms away brought an alert.
Perhaps the best news is that NEOS will supply you – even if you do not have insurance with them – for £19.99 while if you prefer to purchase from Amazon its £24.99 with free delivery.
At either price point it’s still a bargain buy and now it’s far easier to setup certainly an impulse buy
