Recently I have told you about a small USB camera and a Bluetooth headset with far better than normal range. Here is a flat panel that has both built in and for good measure it has lights built in both sides to improve the view people get of you as it frames you better, this is certainly an all in one device for those Zoom calls. This is a real personal meeting display for those occasions when you cannot meet personally.

click image to enlargeThe screen and surround is 56cm wide and from top of the screen to the top of the stand is 37cm. The viewable screen itself is 48x26.5cm which gives the notional diagonal imperial measurement of 21½ inches.
The stand clips into the rear of the screen it is 30x18cm and raises it by 8cm from your desk. The power lead enters the main body of the screen just above the stand. The total weight is less than 7KG.
The lights to illuminate your video call are either side and at the base of the screen in the surrounds. The camera and microphone clip over the top of the screen but they fit well and look part of the screen. There are stereo speakers.
For those times when you are not on a video call there is a simple flip shut shutter to cover the lens of the camera so maintaining your privacy.
Unusually this screen links to your PC by a USB lead this does require USB3, so video and audio down a single cable to make your desk clutter free. For those limited with the number of USB ports there are two extra on the screen.
Both the video and audio are directional so if two of you are sharing a desk on a call the camera will focus on the one taking making it clearer for those on the other end of the call.
The camera is 1080p resolution 16:9 but can produce 4k digital zoom. The clarity of speech is exceptional. The range of view of the screen is 90 degrees with the camera having an 80 degree working range and this is vertical as well as horizontal. The desktop App allows manual pan and tilt.
To use the panel without lights etc. the power required is around 20watts, for full lighting maximum volume and wireless charging it can be as much as 50 watts.
While I have not tried it I am told this will also work on a MAC.
For your video call it works with Zoom, Microsoft Teams and any other offering that supports USB/UVC standards.
If you make or receive a good amount of video calls this could well be a cost effective solution for you but it is not cheap but both the sound and video quality are excellent and having the ability for both video and sound tracking make it a product certainly worth considering.
