click image to enlargeFollowing on from the general acceptance of the Work From Home concept and its WFH logo, we now could be about to be asked to accept a concept that combines work and play within the home environment - something I have been doing for a good few years. To this end JLab, a leading personal technology company and number one true wireless brand in the US, has announced the arrival of its Go Work Pop headset. The company feels this product will be ideally suitable for work and play type tasks that are conducted at home.
Offering the user up to 50 hours of battery life playtime for whatever purpose, this lightweight, wireless headset unit features a rotating boom mic and noise-cancelling MEMS audio delivery. When appropriate the boom microphone can be rotated up in order to place it in listening only mode or turned back down when the need arises to handle an incoming call. Allowing both work and play aspects of use, the Go Work Pop features EQ2 voice and music modes. Using this feature, the headset can be switched between delivering mid and high frequencies to emphasise the human voice or be switch to target a more standard frequency response where the emphasis is on overall sound and bass when you are listening to music.
Widening the appeal of the headset, it can connect to any two devices simultaneously through the use of its Bluetooth multipoint capability. Control of the headset is achieved through the use of multi-function buttons which can be used to deal with features such as play/pause/answer/reject, volume level adjustment. mute capabilities, the changing of track and switching between voice and music modes.
I have yet to lay my hands and ears on this headset but have been informed it comes with a two-year warranty and will be available in a choice of black, teal or lilac from Amazon with a price tag of £39.99.
