Adding to its range of Solitaire Seasons series, Suricate Software has released its Jewel Match Solitaire Winterscape 3 offering. Available in Collector’s Edition format, this product combines numerous levels of digital Solitaire game play with various types mixed in with a building construction feature used as a reward. The game play takes place set out in a winter playground spread out over a wide area of countryside that you need to travel across during the game.
A wide range of adjustable settings and gaming environment options come supplied with this Suricate product. You can adjust specific volume setting levels plus adjust the intensity of the snow feature. Other available features relate to selecting from a choice of card designs, the colour of gems earned as a reward and various forms of Solitaire game play. The actual playing of the game can be conducted in a choice of Relaxed, Normal, Timed or Hard difficulty level.
The Solitaire game play will take you on a journey that encompasses over 1000 stop-over points laid out over the snowy landscape. By following this trail, you will need to complete a variety of tasks that await you in this winter wonderland. Most of the stop-over points will tend to concentrate their action on the popular Up/Down chain creating style of Solitaire. This will involve clearing away card layouts by selecting cards which are one higher or lower than the previous card.
Often the cards being removed will conceal a gem or coins which become your possession once revealed. While the coins gathered in this way can be used to purchase various power-ups to aid your task regarding card clearance, the gems, on the other hand, provide the power to construction buildings making up eye-catching scenes. Focusing on a series of magnificent dwellings, these constructions will be formed from different elements that can come together to form scenes. You start off with developing Winterscapes Manor before moving on to tackle Silverhold Castle, Moontide Valley, Elderstorm Mansion and Wolfborough Mill amongst others.
Along with the gems and coins mentioned earlier, the Solitaire game play aspect of this title will present you with a variety of challenges. Depending upon the level, certain overlays will be used to decorate some cards and even the background display. You could be presented with cards overlaid with vines, a padlock, ribbon and seals which might also feature a number. In order to remove these items you will need to pair them with an appropriate tool such as a scythe, key, scissors or hammer. When it is the background affected by an overlay, this could cause an additional problem by concealing some cards which will only be visible and removable once the blocking overlay is removed.
Adding a touch of spice to your journey will be the appearance of some bonus game play. While these bonus games bring a reward of coins, they offer no gems to help with construction. This could be in the form of one of the different types of Solitaire unlocked through the progress you have made or a specific quest. In the case of a Quest you will need to complete different Solitaire formats offering varying challenges. You reward for completing the various parts of these Quests will be a decoration.
With its enlarged store of levels and variety of challenges, this game will keep you occupied for many gaming sessions. It is the type of game that you can easily pick up and have enjoyable many hours of game play. This game can be downloaded from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $19.99. System requirements call for a 1.2 GHz processor with 512MB of RAM and 394MB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
