The Gatek ZX10 measures 27x19x2cm and weighs just over a kilo.
Exactly what connections are available will vary as this can be produced by Getac for whatever environment you need. It is a rugged unit designed to work in times and conditions units sold by mainstream manufacturers could not cope with.
Going around the edges of the test unit I was sent has behind weatherproof doors USB ‘C’ and Nano SIM entry points, USB and 3.5mm headphone socket all on the left side. Connections for a dock are on the front. The right side has a power input. A camera assembly has outlets on both the front and back as well as another on the unit’s edge; this last camera is a Bar Code reader. The rear has a stylus storage point and access to the unit’s batteries yes the unit I was sent comes with dual batteries.
The viewable screen is 21.5x13.5cm above the screen is a camera with vanity slider. The right side has five flush buttons they are P1, P2, +, - and green. The green button if just given a short push will show you your batteries state a four second push will turn the unit on. Below the screen are LED’s for power and also for Wi-Fi. You decide what P1 and P2 do but by default they increase and decrease screen brightness.
The Android version is 11. When it arrived it had 80% of storage available which is just over 50GB.
Using the screen can be set for a glove, finger or stylus, at various times I tested all three modes without problem.
Apart from standard Android Apps and the ability to download items from the Android store there are some specific Getac Apps provided along with a decent User Guide.
The 10.1inch screen shows 1920x1200. In use the screen protective film felt smooth in all operations.
