Sadly this headset arrived a little too late to get published prior to Christmas, however anyone with a little Christmas money left this would be a great way to spend it as this can be both a set of headphones or a headset as the microphone is easily removable. I had to double check the price as to my mind it is far too cheap for a unit of this quality.

It Gioteck HC2 headset measures 19cm from the base of the diamond shaped over ear padded earpieces to the well-padded headband without any of the 3cm expansion available on each side. If the earpieces are vertical there is 15cm between them. Both the hard wired 3.5mm lead and the microphone when fitted are from the base of the left side.
There is 42cm from the hard wired connection to the 6x2x1.5cm control clip and then another 108cm to the 3.5mm plug.
Both the headband and earpieces are very well padded, the former I found very useful in the recent cold snap and the latter is always very acceptable for those like myself who have little hair.
The back of the clip will slide over a shirt or a coat zip and has a volume control and an on/off control.
Sound quality was good with excellent separation of instruments, for those who want lots of volume these can provide it as well as reasonable noise reduction when the earpieces are fully over ears.
This next statement may sound strange but apart from when sitting or standing if you are lying flat the earpieces and headband are perfect for great listening when lying flat, not all headphones fit that way.
The microphone when attached is 13cm long to allow whatever you say to be transferred efficiently and during a couple of test zoom calls I was able to be heard clearly.
These were launched to coincide with the World Cup and came with stickers to attach to each earpiece arm for several countries that included the two finalists.
At the price below of £19.99 these have to be a huge bargain buy.
The Giotech HC2 is available from Argos for £19.99.
