This is a very lightweight on ear set of headphones. Appearances can be deceptive and in the case of these it is certainly so, they do not look much and my first thoughts were these are from SoundBlaster, yes they are reasonably priced but they look not that special. Looks are not everything and all that changed when I linked them to my phone and I realized that were a really rather nice offering.

They can be as little as 15cm from base of the ear pieces to the inside of the headband. Each side can be increased by up to 3.5cm so anyone from a child upwards should be able to wear them securely. Total weight is only 84 grams.
While most will use these with Bluetooth they can be used with the USB ‘C’ to USB lead as a wired unit.
All the controls are on the right ear and they slope slightly from front to back.
In the box apart from the lightweight headphones are a USB ‘C’ to USB lead and a second set of foam ear pads and a very large 80x50cm double sided sheet with instructions for nineteen countries.
The multi-function button turns the headphones on/off or links according to length of touch. There are also volume up and down buttons on the left side and further round is the charge or connection port. Above these is the microphone which works rather well despite its position near the top of the of the ear piece near the arm of the headband, which would make it around 15cm from the side of your mouth. On the other side of the ear pad is a bass button which I only ever used for testing as in my opinion there is plenty of bass without the need to increase it but I know some people do like their teeth to rattle. Finally lower down this side of the ear pad is an LED.
These can be used with multi point pairing and this is explained on the instruction sheet. LED behavior and Controls are also well documented.
The stated time between charges is 22 hours and this I achieved. In the Bluetooth settings for the SoundBlaster Jam V2 it tells you how much battery life remains and I found this to be accurate.
For me the most important thing is sound quality and here this unit was superb. As regular readers will know my favorite Genre of music is small group Jazz and here tiny noises from bass and drums shine through where even with good quality speakers these often struggle, things like tiny touches on symbols and brush work on both drum and drum surround are all heard as well or even better than if you were there in a live performance.
However I always test all Genre of music including things I am not keen on to check sound quality.
Being small and lightweight the SoundBlaster Jam V2 would easily fit into a bag or even a larger pocket.
At the time of publication the SoundBlaster Jam V2 is available from Amazon for £34.99 including free delivery.
