Time for a Clear Out

While Spring may have "come and gone", you can still instigate a clear out of unwanted items.

Last year I took a look at Tiny Little Lion's game of So Much Stuff.  This was a Hidden Object title featuring a range of puzzle type tasks.  Now I have the opportunity to check out the latest version of this offering with So Much Stuff 3.  As with the original offering, this version 3 is available in Collector's Edition format.  This brings together various bonus items bundled with the main game play.  Rather than redesign the product's layout, this follow-up offering follows the same pattern as the first version with regards to its selected game play.

When playing this game of So Much Stuff 3, the player is given a wide range of choices of selecting from 18 different themes that cover a variety of subjects.  Selected from a scrolling menu list, the themes available with the game cover topics such as Florist, Poolside, Men's Grooming, Clinic Visit, Australia, Bar Games and Tropical Fruits amongst others.  You can tackle the various themes in any order that appeals as you cherry pick those that best suit your current interests.

With a theme selected, the player will be offered a further choice of four different challenges or puzzle type games.  These choices could be named with titles such as Sort, So Much Stuff, Difference and Jigsaw.  As with the available themes, these puzzles or challenges can be selected in any order which suits.

While the names of the challenges might remain the same, whatever the theme, the actual type of content and/or scene being used will change while still being appropriate.  By selecting the Sort challenge, you will be asked to clear a cluttered scene by selecting items in matching pairs while also finding fragments of an item which could be of a solid object or a document.  Once all the fragments have been collected and put together you will have earned a Collectible which will be displayed in an appropriate room.

The So Much Stuff challenge will feature a clutter display overlaid by a number of tags showing the type and number of a particular kind of item to be found and removed.  In some cases a tag might be partially covered by other items.  You will need to remove such covering in order for the tag to reveal its information.  As with the Sort challenge, you will also need to find fragments of an object or document that forms part of the scene.

The third challenge does tend to introduce an additional option by switching between Spot the Difference or Click to Swap.  In one mode you will need to find minor differences between certain similar scenes while the other mode sets the task of swapping elements between scenes to produce the correct results.  A Hint option is provided to assist with either type of problem should the need arise.

As you might expect, the Jigsaw challenge will involve putting together the pieces of an image or scene.  Sometimes you will need to place the pieces into a partially finished scene or, for example, recreate a dartboard from various pieces.  To inform you when a piece has been placed correctly in position, a sound effect is emitted.

Bundled with the main collection of Themes and puzzle games are some bonus items.  There are eight additional themes that each contain four challenging puzzles.  You also have access to the game's background music played through a juke box facility and some wallpaper backgrounds.

I download my copy of this title from Gamehouse.com where it is priced at $19.99.  You can also download it from Big Fish Games priced at £15.47.  The game requires a 2.0 GHz processor with 2048MB of RAM and 2.23GB of hard disk space running Windows 7 and later.
