Focus are a republisher and often once a product has done its time at the £9.99 price point it goes into the bargain bin at £4.99. They are rebadged as Revival.
All the four items are on the lighter side two are classified as games while the other two are puzzles.
First Mah-Jong Master 3D I remember having a tile version of this as a youth it certainly cost a great deal more than this and there was only a basic game with tiles rather like small dominoes. Here there over 100 different boards, 20 different backgrounds and eight different tile sets. It is even possible to play over a network or the Internet. The basic idea is to match the pairs of tiles and it features symbols that can only be removed if fully exposed. I believe the original game was played and invented in China.
Next something more recent and western in origin Pinball Master 3D. Those of us old enough to remember the pinball machines of the 50s will be right at home here. The only slightly testing PC machine requirement is Direct X 8.1 or later. It can be a multi player game rather like Snooker, Billiards or Darts, its called taking your turn. There are three different boards, Space, Western and Football. Unlike a real pinball table you can view from different angles. Something to certainly help while away the long Christmas (four day) weekend.
Now onto the two products that can cultivate the brain cells. Both these packages have £9.99 full price versions available just change the 501 for 1501 for three times the content.
Wordsearch Buff 501I am sure everyone from a few years old has tried to complete wordsearches sometimes just for the hell of it, sometimes composed by a teacher to help learning and sometimes dare I say it to win a prize. The only prize on offer here is the joy to complete the wordsearch. However there is nothing to stop the more competitive printing off several copies of the same wordsearch and everyone trying to be the first to complete it. You could even have a prize among yourselves. The main difference between the paper copies and these on a computer is that you can check the answer with a single mouse click. Some of the puzzles are specifically for the kids.
A similar theme for the last offering Puzzle Buff 501 this is predominately crossword puzzles. There are six different types of crossword as well as codebreakers and wordsearches. There are also specials just for the kids.
There are currently over 40 items making up the Revival range, some are pure games some like Lego are for the younger kids and some like the ones I have looked at here suitable for all ages. Remember the price of all these are only £4.99 each, available from dealers and mail order.
